Since 1998, when I first opened my law offices, I have represented clients in bodily injury claims resolved through trial and before cases are filed. What sets me apart from other lawyers in Oregon and other personal injury lawyers is my philosophy about practicing law as a trial lawyer: keep it simple, talk like a normal person, use honey instead of vinegar when you can, stay realistic about the strong and weak points of every case, and be prepared for trial if no reasonable offers are made.
Good decision making and quality advocacy earned a reputation good enough to get case referrals from other personal injury attorneys in Oregon. I look forward to applying those skills to every client's case.
I was born in Washington, DC, grew up in Kansas and moved to Portland in 1994 to go to law school at the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College. I graduated and was admitted to practice in Oregon in 1997 and learned the ropes while I worked for two prominent Portland personal injury attorneys.
The firm started in late 1998 as a sole proprietorship. The professional corporation was formed in late 1999, and the business has been a professional corporation ever since. In late 2001, the corporation hired its first non-attorney staff, and the business has continued to grow since then.
In 2006, we began offering services for small and medium sized businesses for business formation and litigation. Here is the firm’s Business Law website.
